Hiring for Performance and Retention
The Bryan Group uses a behavioral science approach to recruiting and retention, creating targeted strategies designed to speak to what is most important to the people in each position in your organization. Walk away with innovative job design strategies you can use today. If you hire right, retention is easy because your employees are great fits and love their jobs!
Leader Self-Development
Top-performing leaders demonstrate certain thoughts and behaviors much more frequently than less effective leaders and managers. For those who are “natural” leaders, doing the right thing is second nature. For others, learning the leader influence mindset and competencies takes time and effort, but is doable and definitely worthwhile!
Building High Performing Teams
Schools do their best work when there is a true sense of community and ownership. This important work gets done through high performing teams within the district. Teams are particularly important in high demand environments - which schools are, particularly high schools. It’s important that everyone recognizes that teams are the engine and sustainers of positive change and this TBG program supports the design of the systems that support these essential teams!
The Bryan Group stays on the cutting edge of best practice development. This is reflected in two upcoming programs:
- My Student Garden (MSG) digital platform for monitoring student social-emotional and academic performance. AI features enable the identification of best intervention and growth strategies for all levels and types of students Pre-K-12. It takes into account the need for trauma-informed instruction and identifies extra support for those students who may harm themselves or others.
- Capabilities Simulation (CAPS) digital platform that is designed to evaluate a wide range of student abilities for the purpose of career pathing and evaluating readiness for work with regard to the competencies most sought by employers. This product can be adapted to incorporate and support any type of “Graduate Profile” being employed by the district.
High Praise from Our Clients
-
There is no one with a more in depth understanding of education leadership development needs than Bill. His training programs were huge eye openers for leaders in our and surrounding districts. His ability to motivate leaders to up their game is unparalleled. In addition, my school was able to employ his “initiative and program mapping” process to create a focus on what was most important, and ensured that our energies were targeted on those activities that were most influential in improving student performance.

The Bryan Group staff is highly skilled in executing the search process, including building an effective working relationship with search committees and boards. They are very adept at successfully navigating the political challenges that often accompany the search process. This is why we use them to conduct all our superintendent searches.
– Barrett M. Christina, former Attorney and Executive Director of the NH School Boards Association

One of the things that struck me was the recognition by search committee members of the value of the process he taught us that could be used beyond the immediate search process, e.g., making better hires in the district, and for those working in the community, making improvements in hiring for their businesses.
– Keith Pfeifer, Ed.D., former superintendent of the Monadnock, NH School District

Bill helped us significantly improve student performance through many different organization capacity building processes. He also provided us with competency-based hiring training, to include the use of the Guided Storytelling Interview methodology which we now employ with the hire of every leader, as well as teachers. He is the ultimate partner for any district or school redesign process. Change leadership is his forte.
– John Freeman, Ph.D., former Superintendent of the Pittsfield, NH School District
